Cairo
is a city with many religious landmarks. This tour will be your window
into those famous landmarks.
The
first stop of the tour will be the Salah El Din Citadel to see the
Mosque of Mohamed Ali (The Alabaster Mosque). It is located on the Al
Moqattam Hill. Dating back to the 19th century, its
impressive architecture is breathtaking.
Then
you will visit the Ben Ezra Synagogue at Old Coptic
Cairo
that dates back to the 12th century, as well as the Coptic
Church of St. Sergius that dates back to the 10th century.
Also
at Old Coptic
Cairo
there stands the Greek Orthodox Church of
St.
George. Many religious artifacts are on display.
The
next stop will be the Khan El Khalili Bazaar that was built in the 14th
century. It is a fabulous array of shops that sell everything one could
imagine in a setting out of an Arabian dream.
We
will then leave to have lunch before going back to the port. |
