Sinai, the peninsula which combines all the elements of magic and attraction. The land of history and sanctity. It is located east of the Suez canal overlooking the Red Sea between the gulfs of Suez and Aqaba. Sinai has a history and civilization that dates back to the pharaonic era. Goddess Isis crossed it in search of her husband Osiris. The Pharaohs explored it for gold, copper and turquoise. Sinai was the battle field for the October 1973 war. Ras Mohamed:

 

80 km south of Al Tor at the tip of the Sinai peninsula. It is renowned for being the most fit areas for diving all over the world as it includes the most exquisite coral reefs and rare colored fish. It has been recently declared a national park.

 

Sharm El Sheikh:

 

336 km from Suez, 53 km from Ras Mohamed, it lies on the Aqaba Gulf. It is an international winter and summer resort preferred by vacationers that want to experience fishing, swimming, diving, and relaxing. It has excellent accommodation ranging from tourist villages to hotels. An excellent golf course overlooks the bay. A cruise service connects Sharm el Sheikh with Hurghada, the cruise takes 90 minutes by ferry.
 

Dahab:

 

81 km approximately from Sharm. It is one of the most beautiful beaches of Sinai called Dahab (which means "gold" in Arabic) owing to its renowned golden sandy beaches. Tourist resorts, hotels, diving centers, and camping sites are available for accommodation.

 

Monastery of St. Catherine:

 

Built in the 6th century and dedicated to the daughter of a ruler of Alexandria who converted to Christianity and was subjected to great torture. It is a spectacular natural setting for priceless works of art.

 

Nuweiba:

 

It lies 87 km from Dahab on the Aqaba gulf and palm trees cover its beaches. It is a major sea port in South Sinai.

 

Taba:

 

Considered Egypt's eastern border line overlooking Aqaba gulf, 70 km from Nuweiba. It is characterized by its fascinating natural scenery, clear blue water, and abundance of bays which are considered among the landmarks of this tourist region.

 

Firan Valley:

 

Known for its greenery and orchards. Deir El Banat is a monastery located in the mountains and is regarded as the most beautiful in the world due to the various colors and shapes.
