Description of Tour

Alexandria used to be the capital of Greco Roman Egypt and a Greek cultural center. This tour of Alexandria will be a brief one that covers those main landmarks.

At the Greco Roman Museum you will witness relics that were revived from the 3rd century B.C for a span of 5 years.

The next stop will be the Pillar of Pompey, which is made out of red granite and is 25 meters in height, and stands between the ruins of the Serapis Temple. At this site you will also see two pink granite sphinxes.

While visiting the Roman Amphitheatre you will see the 12 rows of marble seats that form a semicircle and used to hold up to 800 spectators. This site dates back to the 2nd century.

The next stop is the spectacular Montazah Gardens. At the 370 acre enclosed gardens, you will witness the splendor that used to be the summer home of the King Farouk. The gardens are located right on the beachfront and the view is breathtaking.
